ABOUT ME

Hello everyone,

Welcome to my personal research page. I graduated in B.Eng (Chemical Engineering) from Universiti Sains Malaysia in 2003 and two years later I completed my MSc. in Chemical Engineering. Right afterwards, I served Intel Technology (M) Sdn Bhd as a Process & Equipment Engineer for almost 1.5 years, based in Kulim Plant. I resigned from Intel in Dec 2006 to join School of Chemical Engineering, Universiti Sains Malaysia as a lecturer (DS45). In 2011, I have been granted full time study leave to pursue PhD study  under Prof. Dr. Bassim H. Hameed supervision; working on the synthesis of ordered mesoporous silica & ordered mesoporous carbon and its application in wastewater treatment. I have been conferred Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Nov 2014 and currently serving Universiti Sains Malaysia as a Senior Lecturer (DS52).

My research interests include synthesis of ordered mesoporous materials, activated carbons, low-cost adsorbents, liquid phase adsorption for environmental and product purification and recovery purposes; controlled release of drugs and CO2 and GHG migitation technology.

Please feel free to connect with me through Research Gate or simply drop an email to chazam(at)usm.my.
